Here's why it was gone and why it's back!

Our popular scent of Tallow Balm, Sensible, has been re-formulated and is now available to order on our website! Besides a small batch we made in December 2015, we haven't made any since April 2015 because our essential oil supplier has been out of Roman chamomile. Read on to find out why we didn't just use another supplier for this essential oil.

As you may already know from our product information page, we only use the highest quality ingredients in our Tallow Balm, always without compromise. If we wouldn't apply (or eat!) any of our three whole-food ingredients ourselves, we wouldn't put them in your balm. We don't use perfume-grade essential oils or ones that are adulterated, extended, synthesized, or distilled using chemicals or high temperatures and pressure. These are harmful to health! Other essential oils say that they are only for external use and that they always should be diluted. This is an admission of guilt! Remember that much of what is applied to skin is readily absorbed, and essential oils definitely are. And that's the point of our Tallow Balm, to be absorbed and to promote skin health! We refuse to use cheap oils instead of these costly ones since we are a company with conscience that is not driven by profit.

We will only use therapeutic-grade essential oils produced to the highest standards in the industry and steam-distilled from plants grown without chemicals, and only oils from the single company that we trust in this matter. Not only do these highest-quality essential oils smell great but they will also do a world of good for your skin and even for the rest of your body!

And why had Sensible been out of stock? The company that we order from had been out of Roman chamomile, one of the essential oil ingredients. The company, which cultivates plants and distills oils around the world, will not sell anything but the best. Even if they run out of an oil, they will not use an inferior one. All of the oils must be produced correctly and contain nothing bad while exhibiting the correct biomarkers as well as the full complement of therapeutic compounds in their ideal proportions.

Sensible has a clean, balanced, fresh-air scent, and it has essential oils that are integrating and great for skin clarity. It contains Roman chamomile, clary sage, myrtle, ginger, and tangerine. And we are now offering Sensible to you again! You can order it on our website.
